Quinton Pretorius
Quinton Pretorius is a pioneer in Cultural Intelligence (CQ), with extensive experience working across corporate and NGO sectors and with diverse audiences across generations, industries and organisational contexts. He is a member of the Society of CQ Fellows, a global community of thought leaders committed to advancing culturally intelligent practice.
Quinton helps leaders and teams understand how culture shapes the way people think, communicate, collaborate and make decisions. His work focuses on helping organisations bridge cultural differences, build more inclusive cultures and strengthen their ability to work effectively in increasingly diverse and global environments.
His approach to learning is highly experiential. Rather than focusing only on concepts and theory, Quinton creates immersive experiences that encourage participants to reflect, experiment and apply their learning. Through storytelling, engaging facilitation, practical exercises and activities such as LEGO®-based learning, he helps participants turn cultural insights into practical changes in how they work with others.
His work includes keynote talks, workshops and immersive learning programmes for organisations. He works with leaders and teams to connect people around a shared purpose, activate their potential and take greater ownership of the cultures they create.
Athena Anderson
Athena Rayne Anderson (Ph.D., M.Ed.) is a Certified Cultural Intelligence Facilitator and Unconscious Bias Facilitator. Her professional work and service span multiple disciplines, including ecology, food culture, education, writing, graphic design, and feline behavior.
Discovering CQ in 2019 was a revelation for her and she’s fascinated by cultural values differences. In her CQ presentations, Athena focuses on Cultural Intelligence as the bridge between diversity and inclusion. She’s excited to combine her deep knowledge of ecology with CQ on the Safari Journey and share this intersection with participants.
Athena lives for new experiences and will try almost anything once; she’s jumped out of perfectly sound aircraft, touched a mountain lion, and hiked the Grand Canyon. Her Bucket List is topped by wanting to experience Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. She can talk for hours about movies, cats, and Monty Python. She’s currently working on a M.A. degree in food studies from Boston University and is planning to fashion a career at the intersection of food culture preservation and pollinator conservation in her home of western North Carolina, USA.
